About Vaza
Vaza is an app for adults learning a language by reading, listening and speaking about what interests them. You read real texts instead of constructed practice sentences, hear them read aloud with natural voices, practise pronunciation and spoken answers with honest feedback, and get explanations in your language the moment you tap a word.
Read what interests you
Paste a text, photograph a book page, upload a PDF or fetch an article from a link. Vaza makes the text readable, explains words the moment you tap them and can summarise or give you the context in your language. You can also ask the in-app teacher about exactly what you are reading and get answers in your language.
Listen and speak
Everything you read can be read aloud with natural voices, sentence by sentence or word by word, and you can practise listening comprehension on real material. When you speak, your pronunciation is scored sound by sound, and you get an honest explanation in your language of what went wrong and how to fix it. When you write, you get feedback on your text too.
Words that stick
Words you look up become flashcards with pronunciation and examples. The app quizzes you when you want: quizzes, matching words to meanings, and core sentences with natural pronunciation.
Practise for tests
Vaza has practice modules for the Swedish language test, the Swedish citizenship test, the US citizenship civics test, IELTS and the Swedish national exams for Svenska 3 and SVA 3. You can also photograph your own assignment and practise on exactly that. The exercises are training for the tests, not official exams.
